TRAVEL TO SANTA FE

TRAVEL  TO SANTA FE:

Getting here:
Most people fly into Albquerque, which is about an hour’s drive from Santa Fe. There are airport shuttles which run from the airport to downtown hotels. You can of course rent a car at the airport, and it is a fairly easy one hour drive to Santa Fe. Try driving highway 14, "The Turqouise Trail" for a really beautiful drive! The studio is on Highway 14, just north of the village of Madrid, NM, about a 35 minute drive south of the Santa Fe Plaza, in an old stone schoolhouse. Often we can arrange for people to ride to the studio together from town.

As to places to stay, here are a few suggestions:
Santa Fe is a tourist town, and there are many motels, hotels and B&B’s, at all price levels. I suggest you check www.santafe.org/ The site of the Santa Fe Visitors Bureau, as well as your usual travel sites for deals. Expedia, Hotels.com, etc

The Downtown Plaza area:
Hotels:
There are many hotels in the downtown area, it tends to be the more expensive area, check your travel sites for more information. But the town goes around the plaza, in the traditional way (Paseo de Peralta). With two parallel roads, St Francis and Cerrillos Roads, heading south.
